In this post, I’m going to list and review 10 of the best WordPress themes for freelancers. The list includes both free and premium (paid) themes. So, whether you are a designer or a writer, you might find the ideal WordPress theme for you in this article.
If you are new to WordPress and don’t know how to set up your website, you can check this tutorial series on how to do it.
Now here we go with my list:
Juno
The first free theme on my list is called Juno. It is a theme with minimalistic and elegant design. The theme is highly customizable. It features left / right sidebars, mansory style blog or customizable fonts.
This responsive theme is ideal for agencies, portfolios or businesses’ websites. As a free theme, it offers many great features and functionality.
Murray
Murray is the second WordPress theme on my list. It is an ideal theme for websites with many pictures or videos. Because of that it can be a great theme for freelancers who want to show off their work in a nice way.
This theme also comes with sticky social icons that show on the left side of the website layout.
Hestia
Another free theme on my list is Hestia. It is a theme from Themeisle. It is a multipurpose one-page WordPress theme.
It features a widgetized footer, news / blog page and is compatible with most of the popular WordPress plugins like, for example, Elementor Page Builder, Travel Map or Flat Parallax Slider. This theme also uses Material Kit for its design.
InterServer Portfolio
Like you can guess from the name of this theme, it is ideal for portfolio websites. So it is a good theme for freelancers to showcase their work. The theme features a built-in slider and is easily customizable. It also features footer widgets, grid layouts, threaded comments, sticky post and custom menu.

Divi
Divi theme is the first premium theme on my list, because it is my favorite WordPress theme. It’s a superb all-around theme, and it’s one of the best WordPress themes for freelancers. I’m using it for my own and my clients’ projects and I also blog about Divi even in Spanish on my Spanish Divi blog.
It is a multipurpose theme using which you can build any type of a website, including portfolio-type websites for freelancers. I highly recommend this theme from my own experience.

The last WordPress theme on my list is a premium WordPress theme from Templatic.com and it is called ShowStopper.
It is a mutlipurpose theme ideal for creating portfolios or freelance business websites. It features a one-page management feature that allows you to display many different content on the homepage.
You should certainly be able to find a theme to fit your needs from this list.
Note: Some of the links on this page are affiliate links. That means, if you click through and buy the theme, I’ll receive a small commission — the price is the same for you. These commissions help me keep the site running, and my prices low.
