Divi 3.0

Divi 3.0 is Here, and it’s Practically Magic

Divi 3.0 responsive, front-end editing

Divi 3.0 is here.

If you’re not a WordPress nerd, that may not mean a lot to you. But to some of us, those four little words bring a thrill and a level of excitement not usually found with an announcement about a WordPress theme update.

A Little Background. . .

Divi is a theme from Elegant Themes. Unlike most themes, it uses a set of tools called a page builder which lets you create customized pages without having to know any programming or code.

This is a big deal.

Now, after a highly transparent process and a massive, 100-day countdown, version 3.0 of Divi is here.

This is another big deal.

Front-End Editing with Divi 3.0

It’s a big deal for a lot of reasons, but the one that will probably be most notable to the average user is, that Divi 3.0 lets you edit your site in the front end.

The front end is the public-facing part of the site, and the back end is the private part.

Front end, or public-facing view of the site

Back end, or administrator view of the site

Now, Divi lets you edit the site in real time, from the front end. No need to refresh screens as changes happen in real time. And it’s fast!

Also, your editing tools are customizable, resizable, and easy to adjust for your working style. They’re designed to not clutter up your screen, but to be available as you need them.

Just the Tip of the Iceberg

There’s much more to Divi than just (just!) front-end editing. Over the coming weeks I’ll be writing a whole lot more about this incredible theme.

More to Come

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be writing more about Divi. A lot more! So stay tuned for more in-depth information about what Divi can do your your website.
